PTO

The Jasper Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a volunteer organization made up of parents, guardians, and staff who are dedicated to supporting JES. The PTO consists of the Executive Board as well as all JES families and staff. 

The PTO works hard to create events and raise funds to make the school year both enjoyable and exciting. We are dedicated to providing experiences that make students feel special and valuable, as well as ensuring the staff feels appreciated. Some PTO projects have include providing shool supplies, field trips, playground equipment, student awards and celebrations, classroom supplies, staff appreciation meals, academic bowl and spelling bee participation, and so much more. 

The PTO requests a payment of $10 per family, per school year. This small investment helps fund many items for our JES Students throughout the school year. As a member of the JES Family, the PTO appreciates your dues and active participation in the PTO. 

As stated in our bylaws, the purpose of the PTO is to enhance and support the educational experience at Jasper Elementary School, to develop a closer connection between school and home by encouraging parent involvement, and to improve the environment at Jasper Elementary School through volunteer and financial support.

This leadership team manages and helps organize all of the events associated with the PTO. Positions include President (incoming and outgoing), Vice President (incoming and outgoing), Treasurer, Secretary, and Raise Right Coordinator. 

This group will work with the executive team on various activities throughout the school year to promote our staff and show our appreciation to them! Some events include providing food and treats for Parent Teacher Conferences, Staff Appreciation Week, Holiday Gifts, and Teacher Reimbursement. 

Our goal is to keep our staff happy and continue to show our appreciation as they work hard to educate our future leaders! 

The Fundraising Committee helps organize fundraising efforts at Jasper Elementary School throughout the year. The PTO relies on these funds to provide and help subsidize the cost of school supplies, field trips, staff appreciation events, educational programs, etc. 

Our current fundraisers include: 

• Membership Dues 
• Apparel Sales
• Paragon 
• Giving Tuesday
• Wildcat Walk

*We also have an endowment through the Dubois County Community Foundation to help fund the Leader in Me Program.

The Marketing Committee works with the executive team and all other committees to help organize and promote events throughout the year. They design and print digital materials, assist with Facebook and social media posts, create flyers, forms, invitations, etc. 

If you're crafty and creative, this committee is for you! 

The PTO strives to help make JES better and better! This committee is designed to promote our school, welcome new families and celebrate diversity by:

• Managing and distributing Welcome Packets for new students and families 
• Organizing a booth for Meet the Teacher Night at the beginning of the school year
• Brainstorming ideas on ways to improve communication between home and school and help enrich the overall culture at JES
